PRESS RELEASE
Canrack/PMI Changes Operating Name to ‘Metal Center Systems’
Canrack Storage Systems Inc., a 40-year leader in cantilever racking systems for the metals industry, has changed its operating name to Metal Center Systems.
Bob Howard, President of Canrack states, “Now the majority of our business is the design and manufacture of machinery for order selection and packaging of sheet, plate and bar as well as automated shearing systems. We’ve adopted the MCS name to better describe our new area of expertise with Metal Centers.”
Metal Center Systems develops unique engineering solutions to improve safety, quality and productivity in the handling and packaging of metal. Their systems include: CTL in line packaging; sheet and bar order filling stations; sheet handlers; feeders for plate and CNC sheet shears, conveyors and stackers for shears; plus of course, cantilever racks.
The primary consideration in all systems is the ergonomic design of work stations which will reduce repetitive strain injury by eliminating heavy lifting and handling. An additional bonus comes with the improved productivity and quality, which inevitably have a positive impact on ROI.
Canrack has been providing systems to many of the industry-leading firms (Alro, Integris, Macsteel, Reliance, Ryerson Tull and Yarde) and believes that the new name ‘Metal Center Systems’ will further enhance its ability to provide innovative solutions to the industry in North America.
